November 11 is the Saint Day for Agios Minos. What that means in Greece is that any church named after Agios Minos has to have a day of recognition (I'm sure there is a more technical term). People come to be blessed and receive communion and then they parade the Saint's icon around outside.
Mom and I sat outside this church for hours waiting for the 5 minute "parade" (I'm using "parade" because again I don't know the technical term and the person who alerted us to this event used that word -- I do not mean any disrespect). It was interesting to watch everyone going into the church for their blessing. They went through many, many loaves of bread.
