Some random (and the last of them) photos of Athens. Then we'll move back to CA photos.
We just missed getting inside, but we saw a lot of the Temple of Olympian Zeus built in 6th century BC from various viewpoints in the city. Plus we walked around it trying to get in (it closes at 3 in the winter; we got to the gate at 3:10).

Despite the coming austerity measures, the Plaka was jumping with shoppers...
The Athens Marathon was being run the next day -- it follows the route of the first marathon.
