April 21, 2012 was an incredibly beautiful day. So beautiful that I decided to walk to Crissy Field and then back, just because. Along the way, completely expectantly or slightly expected (depending on which ) I fell upon a couple of San Francisco events. First, I found the beginning of the Cesar Chavez Day parade (completely unexpected). I've fallen upon this before and was, frankly, unimpressed. But this year they went all out, with rodeo horse riders, several brass bands on truck beds, and other interesting people.
And then I went to check out the Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival. Not as impressive as the festival in DC, but still interesting.
And of course, between these two events, and after them, there were other beautiful things along the way.
Did you know that this is not only the 75th year for the Golden Gate Bridge, but that it is the 100th birthday for Muni?
